Adieu & Farewell

Ok to start off... 

This trip to Boston has been an emotional roller-coaster for Doris and I.

Getting confirmation of my placement in school after such a long wait was uplifting, but yet at the same time, we became acutely aware of a deep sense of loss at having to leave so many things behind in Singapore (albeit temporarily), whether in family, friends, church and work etc. Nevertheless, we knew God has blessed us by giving us the opportunity to come to the States for studies and we just had to take up the experience and GO for it!

We really want to thank everyone who came to the airport to send us off this past Wednesday night (it's a long list, but we just want to acknowledge everyone if possible)... OK here we go: Doris' kakis - Faith & Boon Yeow, Huifen & Shunyao, Xavier & Celeste, Hui Hui by phone, Peishan, Freddie, Anita & little Mika...

Doris' students and their families - Yoke Mun & family, Shafiq & mom, Charlene & Dorothy over the phone...

Our church friends - SP, Pastor Biyun, Moses, Susan, Josh, Yee, PJ, Rachel, Yihao, Cheri, Mary and Tianxi, and Eric and Kelly for the blessings by phone...

And of course, our beloved family members, especially our parents who fussed over our preparations and were the additional eyes and ears in helping us to pour over all the details... :)

We also find it necessary to mention all the help and advice given by sooooo many people over the course of the last few months such as the do's and dont's, prayers and gifts and other blessings. In particular, our dear group of friends who came together to organise farewell gatherings for us before we left.

Thank you all for making our preparation and eventual departure so unforgettable! We really thank God for all of you!!
