Hui's wedding

Hui and Eric finally got married last week. Though Dan and I were not there, we managed to catch a little of the joyous occasion.

I believe all mums are happy when their children get married.

We were able to catch the 闹门 live, all thanks to Faith and Yeow!

Red! That's what Chinese wedding is all about!

Xiaojing, Fen & Hui were my pals from primary school while Faith & Delia were from my secondary school.

Introduce you Kelly, my class monitress (second from left) =).

Public Garden

We walked past the Public Garden the other day. We realized that we have not been to the garden for a while. Seems like the last time was in May when my parents were around. Dan and I agreed to visit the Public Garden and have our Quiet Time there, no matter how cold it would be, because the weather would only get worse. If we miss it this time round, we would have to wait till winter fades off.

The wilting of leaves marks the coming of Fall.

George Washington, the first president of United States.

The white leaves are real! Remind us of snow and Christmas.

This back view reminds us of Gollum from the Lord of the Rings.
"Precious... my precious..."

It was kind of weird to read the book of Isaiah with such a lovely scene before me. The book of Psalms would have been a better candidate.

It was cold at about 16 degrees celsius.

We scrambled off for dinner after two chilling hours in the garden.

Dan wanted to use this to depict loneliness.

I just wish we have a DSLR to capture the depth

Weddings

I am a little nostalgic today, probably because Hui is getting married tomorrow. After chatting with the gals on her hen's night, it just dawned on me that Daniel and I have been together for quite some time. Coming November will be our 3rd anniversary. Though it is only 3 years, we have actually been a couple for 9 years. So I asked Dan, "Why did I spend 9 years of my youth on you?" It didn't take him very long to reply matter-of-factly," Well, I spent 9 precious years on you too." Ha, it adds up 18 years from both of us. Though there were many ups and down - most of it got to do with him and his nonsense - I must say I truly treasure the time I shared with him and he is one of the best gifts God has given me.
