Georgia Aquarium

The Georgia Aquarium was our final attraction. We were kinda excited because we heard so much about this world's largest aquarium that we really wanted to experience it ourselves.

With 8 million gallons of fresh and marine water, and about 80000 animals representing 500 species, the Georgia Aquarium is the world's biggest.

Garden eels made my hair stand.

One of our favourite spots; we just couldn't take our eyes off the jelly fish.

Given our humble camera, I thought these few shots were quite well taken.

A sea horse!

The aquarium consists of 5 sections, one of which is the Ocean Voyager that features the giants in the marine life.

The exhibit is specially designed to house whale sharks, the largest fish species in the world.

We were not able to catch the penguins because they were transported away. The aquarium is currently upgrading their home - sounds like interim upgrading programme for our HDB flats.

Here you have Daniel touching the sea anemones. Looks a bit disgusting to me though.

These Japanese Spider Crabs are HUGE.

Visitors simply love the Beluga Whale.

We proceeded to the Centennial Olympic Park, part of the infrastructure improvements for the Olympics held in 1996.

Larger than life replica of the torch used in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics!

Statue of Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of International Olympic Committee.

This was taken to remind us of the hot and humid weather in Atlanta. For a while, we thought we were in Singapore.

The Fountain of Rings interactive fountain features computer controlled lights and jets of water synchronized with music.

Kids sure know how to have fun...
