Yesterday, we had an appointment with Daniel's colleague. Lionel and Rachel were in Boston after spending some time touring Canada and New York. Before we met up, we walked pass Fenway Park since there was a game. We were soon lost in the sea of red and white...

The demand for baseball games is always very high so naturally people would buy in bulk and sell the tickets on the day itself outside the stadium. To the Caucasians, as long as you are not blonde or brunette, you are Koreans or Japanese. Sure enough, we walked past one guy and he greeted, "Konichiwah!" We smiled politely and walked off. We had that when we were in Switzerland for our honeymoon during the World Cup season. People saw and went, "Go Japan! Go!" Hmm, I wonder when will they say, "Go, Singapore!" ?

Eventually we managed to squeeze out of the crowd and got to Chinatown to meet Lionel and Rachel. They are a really friendly couple. We chat and makan like we have known one another for a long time! And instead of us recommending, they as tourists, recommended a Chinese eatery and true enough, the food was really not bad. Yummy....

This may seem nothing to u, but it was absolutely wonderful for us!

Dan doesn't take pork but he didn't stop us from ordering...

Gui Fei Chicken... tender but a little too salty for me

We couldn't finish the food so we dao bao home. And when we were about to leave, we realized that one of the workers worked in Singapore before. It was such a nice feeling meeting someone who is familiar with our home country. =) And of course, the blessing we've got from having Rachel and Lionel with us.

Rachel and Lionel surprised us with this!

and Laksa!!!!!!!!!!!

We are so touched by their gestures. I mean, they actually bought these before they fly over. Oh... so sweet of them. Our only problem is, where to find the kway teow? But I guess it is a good problem! =)
