Movie Marathon

Spring break has come to an end. It marks the beginning of another busy term for Dan because he has four evening classes a week for the next 1.5-2 months. He believes that once the term starts, he will not have much leisure time. Therefore we went for a movie marathon - three movies in three days - maybe not much by your standards, but considering other repeats of repeated movies we have watched on cable TV, I guess it is still appropriate.

We prefer the first sequel of the Narnia Chronicle. The idea of walking into a land of fantasy through  a wardrobe is just brilliant. Like many sequels, Prince Caspian seems lacking in the oomph that the first movie generated...

Using the usual concept of the good triumphing over the evil, Iron Man has good sense of humor and of course great effects. Yes, a feel good movie for sure... witty jokes and a reflective piece about a Road to Damascus-like transformative experience...

Harrison Ford's character is like ginger... it gets hotter as it gets older. We like the way the story takes into account his aging screen persona, which syncs well with his previous stories, and there's lots of continuity. If you've watched the previous movies such as "Raiders of the Lost Ark," and "The Last Crusade," you'll catch nuggets here and there in this movie. OK, shan't tell too much... catch it! Personally, this the best out of the three - it's from Steven Spielberg, what do you expect? Maybe we are biased here but seriously, his movies have yet to disappoint us. I have watched E.T six times and still not gotten bored from it. From adventures, to sharks, to aliens and robots, Spielberg has done it all. He is indeed the master in movie-making. Bravo!

Good good. =) Because I also got my P to 11 this year. So I saw your name in the booklet. Was thinking back to the first time you got it and you were the last one to receive the cert and all of us clapped so loudly for you cos it marks the start of dinner time! =)

Time flies hor.

All is well work-wise and family-wise. I think I'll be in HQ for a couple of years more because my boss thinks I have not experienced enough of the scope of work available.

I guess by the time you get back to SG, I still be in HQ.

Neng Jye (if you know him) and Sunny will be going overseas to do their Masters too. Some others too.

Happy to see that you are Doris are having a blessed time over in Boston. I'll pray for the blessings to continue and to keep both of you in good health and spirits too!

=)
